Privacy Policy for Sweet Spot

Sweet Spot ("the app," "we," "our") helps you find the best time of day to take a walk based on local weather and your personal preferences. This page explains what information the app uses, how it's used, and what we do — and don't do — with it.

Information We Use

Sweet Spot uses the following information solely to provide its core functionality:

• Location. With your permission, the app uses your device's GPS location, or a city name you enter manually, to look up local weather conditions. Location data is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to us or sold to any third party.
• Weather data. The app requests hourly forecast data from Apple's WeatherKit service based on your location. This request is handled directly by Apple under Apple's own privacy practices, available at apple.com/legal/privacy.
• Preferences. Your chosen temperature range, weather tolerances, walk duration, and time windows are stored locally on your device so the app can score the forecast against your preferences. This information never leaves your device.
• Notifications. If you enable reminders, the app schedules local notifications directly on your device using iOS's notification system. We do not use any push notification server, and no notification content is sent to us.

What We Don't Do

• We do not collect, store, or have access to your location, preferences, or any personal data on any server. Everything is stored locally on your device using iOS's standard on-device storage.
• We do not use analytics, advertising SDKs, or tracking technologies of any kind.
• We do not require an account, login, or any personally identifying information to use the app.
• We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties.

Data Retention and Deletion

Because all data is stored locally on your device, you can remove it at any time by deleting the app, which erases all stored preferences and location data along with it.

Children's Privacy

Sweet Spot is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
